dear chris
its not hard to keep a yahoo group open. whether there's emails going back and forth or not. sometimes yahoo does funny things, i thought i wasn't on this group any more cos it didn't come up in my yahoo list of groups. but here i am!
i think an internet forum for exchange of ideas, opinions, questions, peer review, encouragement, viewpoints, mentoring and so was is and will remain a very good space to keep open.
i reckon a web based group will always be easier than a webpage bulletin as most people havent got the chance to check a website all the time, whereas if its in their emial box they can read it or delete it, at least its there.
and as for the lull - web discussion groups have times of lull and times of not lull.
for me knowing the group was there if i had a clinical question (whether or not they answered it - i knew worst case scenario i could ask you to backchannel to someone who would also on the group) and also somehow keeping in potential contact with the wider constellation community. has been adn continues to be valuable
so my vote: keep it centrally web based eg through yahoo. encourage conversation as the webmaster. and allow this sharing space to still exist.
best regards
sarah

Hi ,
I am just testing to see if this mailing group still works.
I was wondering if it would be helpful if I changed the name of the group to something shorter.
Maybe bulletin boards on the website where people could add there contributions to discussions on set discussions, would be a better option. New discussions can be added at any time , but old discussions remain amenable. All the relevant entries then stay together and accessible in one place. The downside is you don't get an email to tell you when there is something new. So I am just canvassing for interest in this option.
the final option is of course that this type of communication via the internet no longer interests people. In that case we can simply shut down the group. It may become relevant again at a later date
