Hi.  So you could have a dual boot machine of course.  Sometimes you need to
use another OS for some tasks, so, you'd have it there if required.

 

For example, you could have pro tools on the mac OS X side, and, sonar on
the windows side.

Sonar is a Windows only product.  It is possible to run Windows on a Mac.
that requires a separate Windows partition running under Bootcamp or VM
Fusion.  Your Mac behaves as if it were a Windows PC when this partition is
invoked.
