Oh I'm sorry I was not clear in my explanation. That's because I'm trying to do lots of things all at once. Okay 1 Select the area of the track who's volume you want to change using f 9 and f 10. 2 press Ault p for the process menu 3 right arrow in to the audio submenu 4 down arrow until you find the gain function 5 press enter Gain is right below remove silence. 6 tab until you find a list of options for how much you want to increase or decrease the volume Jaws should say something like edit and when you arrow up and down in that field you should find values like 1 DB and -1DB and so on. Phil should chime in here, because he was the one that showed me this great function. I hope I was a little more clear and I hope this helps you. May the peace of God which passes all understanding gard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. God bless you! The volume is not consistent through the track. I have different volume levels through the track and I need the volume of this vocal to stay the same. Moving the gain is not the way to go. I did it by choosing one track and moving the slices I needed from the other to that track. Then I bounced the finished track to a new track. I notice that there are some volume irregularities where the volume pulls back. I don't see any automation that I can strip out. I tried normalizing the comp track and didn't notice any change. What can I do in Sonar, I don't own Sound Forge, to make the volume of this track uniform throughout? Kevin
