It's such a pain in the butt pressing ctrl + space to stop things in a hurry...

I think the default setting should be that the project stops where it is, and not return to 0? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jörgen Hansson" <hansson.jogge@xxxxxxxx>

Hey Jo!

If you go in to options, then global, in the general tab, cursor down about 15 times 'til you hear the following, "on stop, rewind to now marker check box not checked?".
Press the space bar to check that box, and then press enter.

Now, when you press the space bar whilst your project is playing it will stop the playback at the quote now quote time, instead of returning to the beginning.

Well ... because ctrl+space stops and sets the rewind position to the place I stopped. What I should do instead? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike Christer" <m-christer@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Why do you press ctrl + space to stop your project?

Subject: [ddots-l] Sonar 8, laptop and CTRL key

Hi all,
So yes, I upgraded my system to Sonar 8 and now I'm happily trying to find
out how the new system works. It really seems there are
bunch of cool new things to learn... But I have one very serious problem.
I don't know why, but CTRL key does not work properly in
Sonar. Changing keyboard layout to English does not help, I can't find
anything I could change... but for example if I try to press
ctrl+space for stopping my project, Jaws says "Play" and it just continues
to play. Any ideas what I could do?

Johanna
