Yes. That's the entire point. Remember that there is only one cable
coming in to the interface. That's coming from the Phantom. There are
two cables coming out of the interface. One is going to the IN of the
Phantom. The other is going to the IN of the module. By choosing port
1 for the Phantom and Port 2 for the module, you will, assuming you've
attached the correct instrument definition for each port and all sixteen
channels, be able to choose sounds from one or the other instruments.

Ok guys another question regarding this issue. Once I've completed this
hookup, and both the module and the fantom are running with sonar, can I
use
the fantom to play both its sounds and the sounds of the module? So
basically, I want to use the fantom both for its internal sounds, as
well as
use it as a midi controler to control the module.
