Well considering I've been wareing mine for 4 hours
now today, working on a song they feel excellent no pain or no un-comfort of any kind.
In fact, after awhile I really don't notice them.
As I stated earlier I been using these for 4 years now, no problems yet.
I perchased them from samash.com and they were recamended by the staff there. Never having using any other pro earphones other than these, I can only say my thoughts are the sounds is excellent and I believe I can hear everything clearly in the mix.
The cable is a coil cable and you can get at least 15 feet out of it.
Ear pads are replaceable and it comes with 2 pairs.

Hi Mark, at $200 they're above my $150 set limit for now, but since they're not that far off we can probably work something out; having used them for a
while, what would you say about it's comfort when using them for long
periods, say about an hour or possibly more? How about the sound, how does
it translate frequency wise? If their headphones are anything like their
mics, I'm sure they'll last a lifetime! Lol.

I also once worked with a shure pair for about a week and had a awesome
experience but they were also quite expensive.
A lot of the parts of the HD280 is also replaceable, the padding on the
headband, the ear pads, the cable and even the drivers but since having mine
I only had to get a new mini jack to 1/4 inch adaptor because I lost mine.

Hello, I use the Shure SRh840 for mixing and tracking.
They are comfortable and they do a great job.
They come with an extra pair of ear pads in case you ware out the first.
I have used these for 4 years now and haven't worn out the pads yet.
Also the cable is replaceable if something happens to it.
It is a cable designed for the earphones and you would need to order
it from Shure.
I use these alot at the computer even when I not mixing and tracking.
They are a closed set and they keep out the noise.
For other listening, I use a set of bose, open set.
Much smaller but excellent frequency response.
Let us all know what you decide on perchasing.

Hey guys, I'm doing some research on headphones, before I buy a
pair. I'm primarily looking for good tracking headphones, so isolation
and comfort for extended wearing is crucial. I might also consider
buying a pair for late night sessions (not mixing), just to listen
and/or work on recordings at late hours. Any ideas or suggestions? I
know this is a very subjective matter, but want to see if I can get
some kind of general idea. So far I'm looking at: Sony MDR-7506,
Sennheiser HD 280 PRO and AKG K 240. My budget for now is around $100,
could go up a bit more, but I just want something to get started on,
will upgrade later. :) So if you have any comments, suggestions or
experiences, feel fre to share!
