I also once worked with a shure pair for about a week and had a
awesome experience but they were also quite expensive.
A lot of the parts of the HD280 is also replaceable, the padding on
the headband, the ear pads, the cable and even the drivers but since
having mine I only had to get a new mini jack to 1/4 inch adaptor
because I lost mine.
