Hi Steve,

The good news is that you are able to start everything despite things
quickly going off the rails. I had a drum machine via midi that did this
too. The problem was in
Options/project/midi
(those are the menus)
Within the midi menu under project there are 2 page Tabs. One is midi out
and the other is midi sync. Tab through the options within these 2 page
Tabs and then try to start the process by pressing record. Remember you
have to have a track armed before the recording process will start.

I can't remember exactly which one of the 5 or 6 check boxes got everything
working so that there was no more "drifting", but I remember doing the happy
dance when it finally clicked.
Try combinations of checking and unchecking.
Otherwise, the number for Mike Skinner of the Streets, is

Thanks so much Tim,

I'll take another look tomorrow. I love music, I only wished I'd kept up
with the changes in the technology.

This is how crazy I got today, I tried to match the sequencer tempo with the
Sonar tempo then, I hit play in time with the Sonar metronome.
I'd got all the tracks on Sonar quantised to 16th.
I managed to get four bars before they started to drift and after that the
Quantised play back on Sonar was strange to say the least, (if The Streets
had heard it, they would have probably made a hit out of it).

You Guys are so helpful.

Thanks Tim.
