Hi Antonnette, Believe me, another volume could be written on the subject of what should, and should not, be represented in braille. I'm afraid that over the years, I've grown to appreciate and understand Duxbury's policy here. If it's in the rule book, do it that way. If it's not in the rule book then, and only then, try to compromise and please as many as possible. Of course, if anyone would like a set of personally tailored rules, and has green folding material to give spend, I'm here, ready, willing and able to provide the necessary - but of course at a cost. But why invent yet another language? George Bell. -----Original Message----- From: duxuser-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:duxuser-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Antonnette Botha Sent: 21 April 2003 21:32 To: duxuser@xxxxxxxxxxxxx If a "date style" is developed, I hope it will be just that: a style which one can either use or ignore. I would not like Duxbury to "autocorrect". I prefer to see what was originally written, not to have slashes, dashes, colons or dots replaced with number signs or hyphens in expressions like biblical references and dates. Yes, I know it's violation of a braille rule in both USA and UK.
