Hi Wesley,

Apologies. What a difference a coma makes! (Smile)

I suspect you may be looking at the wrong menu for page
numbering in this situation.

If you have multiple documents, and wish to begin numbering
each document with a different number, say to follow on from
another document:-

Place your cursor at the very beginning of the document.
(Use your Home key to make sure)

Select the "Layout" Menu in DBT.

Select "Set Page Number...".

You now have a dialog which allows you to enter the page
number you wish to begin the document with, and also to
select Arabic or Roman numbering.

Just to explain, since it can be confusing. In the
"Document" menu, "Page Numbering", the "First page number to
display" relates to WHEN the page number actually appears in
braille. As a very simple example, let's suppose I have a
30 page document. If I set the "First page number to
display" to 5, then the first four pages will not have a
number on them, but the fifth and subsequent pages will be
numbered "5" upwards.

To take things a little further, having set your page number
as above, if you turn Coded View on, (Alt + F3) you will see
two codes. [pv##] and [pntX] where ## is your beginning
page number, and X indicates either Roman or Arabic
numbering is to be used.

If you have perhaps made a mistake with your starting page
number, highlight the [pv##] code, hold down the Ctrl key
and press [ (left square bracket). This will bring up a
dialog which will allow you to change the Code.

Alt + F3 will turn Coded View off again.

Hope this helps,

George.

Hope this helps.

George.

        Hi Wesley,

Could you please clarify your second sentence
please?

Are you also wanting to combine several documents
into one document, or keep them separate?

        George.

Hi I'm using DBT 10.5 and am embossing
several different documents that I want to attach together
and have the page numbering continuing through all sections.
When I change the numbering to start from any page but 1,
the page numbering disappears from the Braille? does anyone
have a solution?

                Thanks
