Hi Ann. I don't think you are at risk of losing content,
just losing the visual formatting from word.

Anything taken out of word as plain text, then imported into
Wordperfect, or Duxbury, should have valid content, and probably
won't mess you about half as much as the word formatting.
Just that you have to do all the duxbury formatting yourself then.

I guess its where you want to invest the effort.
