Interesting. Using the VIEW program, I may have possibly stumbled on the
only way to convert these word files. Thus far I've not lost any text.
Most Word files I've gotten won't open in DBT DOS (which I have even thogh
I don't use it), or wp6.1 DOS. The ones I have tried don't oopen in
megadots either and I have the most recent version of that program. Files
created in very recent versions of Word I realize would not open, but I
suspect that many files created in older versions don't open becase they
were created improperly to begin with.
If anyone else has thoughts on coverting MSWORd files to plain text
without actually having MSWORD on a system, please let me know.
