Diane, When you attach the BANA template, make sure you click on "Automatically update document styles" under the template path, before you click OK. I'm guessing from what you are saying that you haven't been doing this. Once you do this, I'm pretty sure you'll see indention patterns rather than everything at the left margin. Take the time to read the Help file about the BANA template. It documents all these steps, in addition to giving you information about the various paragraph and character styles. You can find this in DBTs Help Topics, Working with Word, Word Template (BANA Braille 2006). When you start a new Word document, before you hit enter, you select the BANA template and you'll get a bunch of Duxbury formatting styles, which, as Susan says, only work if you opt for the textbook format when you open them in Duxbury. You can apply the BANA template to a previously created Word document by going to Tools, select Templates and Add-ins, and click on Attach to choose the BANA template (though I find that some features don't work on documents treated this way, and it seems more reliable to copy the document and paste it into a new one that's opened with the BANA template).
