#11280: Intermittent no USB on boot ---------------------------+---------------------------- Reporter: vidrep | Owner: mmlr Type: bug | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: R1 Component: Drivers/USB | Version: R1/Development Resolution: | Keywords: Blocked By: | Blocking: Has a Patch: 0 | Platform: All ---------------------------+---------------------------- Comment (by vidrep): Replying to [comment:13 ttcoder]: > @vidrep do you have several partitions that get mounted at boot time, or just a unique "/Haiku" volume ? If you have several, what happens if you disable their auto-mounting at boot time, does the bug go away ? > > I ask because of a tiney-weeny small-ish chance that I've found a/the trigger of the pathmonitor loop bug: that bug just occured to me on my laptop for the first time (it usually occurs on my desktop).. And it happened as I (also for the first time in weeks) manually mounted an ntfs partition, a few seconds after the desktop appeared. So my theory is that maybe it's the BMessage received due to subscribing with`BVolumeRoster::StartWatching()` or whatever, that throws pathmonitor a curve, at least part of the time. I have three Haiku partitions on my hard drive - alpha 4.1,dev, and x86_64. Each is booted separately from the bootman menu. These are not mounted at boot time. I only mount the other partitions sometimes when I need to copy a file. -- Ticket URL: <https://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/11280#comment:14> Haiku <https://dev.haiku-os.org> Haiku - the operating system.
