#11280: Intermittent no USB on boot ---------------------------+---------------------------- Reporter: vidrep | Owner: mmlr Type: bug | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: R1 Component: Drivers/USB | Version: R1/Development Resolution: | Keywords: Blocked By: | Blocking: Has a Patch: 0 | Platform: All ---------------------------+---------------------------- Comment (by ttcoder): Been having very similar symtoms on this Asus system for a few weeks. Seems to occur on cold boots, not warm boots. Not easy accessing stuff without a working mouse :-), but I managed to check the following: - unlike the above posted syslog, the syslog here shows USB traffic in the last few lines, but not errors, just "device added" type lines. - managed to launch a Terminal and type `top` and I got the following: the offending team is '''input_server''' and the thread is something like '''PathMonitor loop''' Is it the same for you vidrep? Otherwise I will file a different ticket. Could be yet another case of an uninitialized variable in input_server or some such... (I had other boot-dependant trouble with input_server the past couple years). -- Ticket URL: <https://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/11280#comment:6> Haiku <https://dev.haiku-os.org> Haiku - the operating system.
