This might be resolved by hrev49058. Please retest if you were able to
reproduce this in some way.

Regarding restarting of the input_server the code handling "-q" seems very
questionable. However you can just use hey to quit the input_server ("hey
input_server quit"). It may block waiting for the mouse to move to wake up
the listener thread, in that case just move the mouse. Once it quit, the
app_server should immediately restart it and you might not even notice
that it was gone. You will see the original main thread of the quit
input_server in the reply printed by hey and you can check that the
running input_server has a different main thread/team id to be sure.

PS: If you edit your comments, no email notification will go out for that
change. For people staying in the bugtracker loop purely by reading the
mailing list (like me), there's a very high chance of these edits not
being noticed. Therefore please avoid adding anything relevant to tickets
via comment edits (style cleanup and typos are fine for edits).
