Steve is making a contingency schedule which is similar to the May Broadcast,
therefore the playlist will be similar to May broadcast. Yes?
If we have to move to the contingency schedule which will include Robojock send
out the playlist from May 2020 to the relevant DJ’s who will be covering the
slots. In the meantime stick to playlist Nick has created for this ROCKTOBER
broadcast.
Does that make sense.?

If we do have adapt the schedule and it causes playlist split problems we my
have to trust djs to use their own data bases. As we saw on the last night of
the May broadcast they are more than capable of doing this and should be
trusted if needs be.

I like the idea of adapting the existing schedule and I am thinking that
should the worst happen, we may just need to organise alternative DJs day by
day.
For instance, Ralph is coming to my house and apart from Sunday, he precedes
me and I would be on twice and on the Friday for 5 hours!!
Organising DJs day by day would probably screw up the playlist a bit
although possibly .... just possibly..... it would only mean a bit of work
on the DJs playlists who are scheduled to operate at other people's houses.
Perhaps breaking their playlist down to a shows-worth of music. I know this
is more work but it may not be quite as bad as first seems.
I am hoping we will scrape through this broadcast.... although My prediction
is that if anything is going to happen, it will be on the 1st Thursday or
2nd Thursday.... and normally there is a bit of notice so it should come as
no surprise.
If all else fails, Robojock!
I don't think we should get hung up on being perfect during imperfect times
and not allow perfect to get in the way of good That fact we will provide
something will be priceless for many people and I know they will be so
grateful for whatever we provide.

Was chatting to Nick earlier about the challenges faced in terms of putting
together an alternative contingency schedule, this is becoming a bit more of
a pressing issue in terms of how much music we need to send people if it
potentially needs to include extra hours to cover this.
As an alternative approach, I'm wondering if it may prove easier to just
adapt around the existing planned schedule rather than come up with
something different. My take on this is that the programmes that will be
affected are those where people have to go around someone else's premises in
order to do their show. Assuming that they have no other means of doing this
(ie. being able to record it up front, or "remote in" here) the attached
document shows the impact that this would have on the schedule -
specifically the "holes" are those highlighted in green.
As you can see, the impact on some days is worse than others.
My suggestions on how to address this are:
1. Go around the existing DJs (with this schedule) and see if they are
willing or can cover any of these existing slots.
2. Can some shows be extended slightly to cover this? For example the
Thursday 2-4pm slot could be dealt with if Nick carries on for an extra hour
and Paul Hayes starts an hour earlier.
3. In the absence of the specialist show slots, can we identify suitable
candidates from previous years to fill these - we have the
2019 output here and both Sarah and Tony have programmes that may be
suitable here.
4. The final fallback position is then automation/robojock.

To put you all in the picture if we do a lockdown broadcast it is
likely to only include 10 live presenters at the most so this would
involve doing a broadcast similar to May with 3 hour shows with
Robojock to fill in. All specialist show could still go out using some
recorded but I don't see the point of putting a recorded show out if
the presenter can do it live. If it was decided to put any other old
shows out during the day this would mean I couldn't really put a
lockdown schedule together yet.
Hoping it won't come to this so we can stick to the current schedule.

as i have several people coming next week to mine to practice and can
show them how the email works now. they dident do shows last time so a
bit to learn .
Also Jon ive taken a couple of days off work to complete all the
playlists . will hopefully have them all complete by this weekend.
