Lol. Yeah I hated learningn theelong way, so my tutor taught me the short cut
ways with out thei so space on this or that as most of the time highlighting
works. Both ways work though. I know how to do both and I can train in both,
but my prefference is not to. I guess what ever works and what ever the student
feels comfortable with eh?
Take care and be blessed.

Actually, teaching people the long ways to do things is quite valuable. I
always teach my clients the long way to do things before I teach them how to
cut corners. The analogy I use is basically think of moving into a new
neighborhood and having a neighbor show you how to get to specific locations
around without actually teaching you how to get back home if you get lost or
how to get to other areas.
It comes down to philosophical differences, but it was the way I was
taught a lot of devices and pieces of software, so I have always carried it
over to my clients.

Good guide as well. But I hate the way sometimes people teach the longer
method. I never ever do. I always teach and train the short cuts such as vo
j instead of stop interacting with this then vo right twice, interact with
this then hit option up to go to the top etc. Vo j is your friend actually
most anywhere including mail.

Hi. To move messages into another folder, here is what I do.
1. go to the menu and vo arrow over to messages 2. go down arrow until
yu here move
3. vo space
4. Then you will see the different folders you have set up. Just
arrow down until you find the one you want. You can use first letter
navigation. Then just vo space on the folder you want and the message is
moved.

Hello,
Let me explain what I mean by clunky. I do have my messages set up with
rules to go to different folders. If I am in a list of messages here is
what I have to do to get to the list of folders so I can choose a
different folder.
1. I have to hit VO plush Shift plus Up arrow twice
2. Next I have to hit VO plus left arrow a couple of times to get to the
list of folders.
3. Next I have to press VO plus Shift plus Down arrow to interact with
this table of folders.
4. Now I have to arrow around to find the folder I want and press VO plus
space to select it.
5. Now I have to hit VO plus Shift plus Up arrow to stop interacting with
the folder list.
6. Now I have to press VO plus right arrow twice to get to the Message
area.
7. Now I need to hit VO plus Shift Plus Down arro to move into the message
area.
8. I then need to hit VO plus Right arrow to get to the message list.
9. Finally I need to hit VO plus Shift Plus Down arrow to get into the
message list.
This is what I meant by clunky. There are a lot of steps just to check the
different folders I have.

Greg Wocher

To select messages use shift up and down arrow. Fora noncontiguousselection use vo up and down then vo enter on any messages you want to

in minutes of getting my mac 6 years ago. I had no choice in the matter by
the way.
clunky compared to the mail apps I am used to on my Windows machine. ForOn Aug 10, 2016, at 7:39 AM, Greg Wocher <gwocher@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:
Hello all,
Does anyone have any tips for using the mail app? I am finding it a bit
example is there a way to quickly select a bunch of messages similar to
using control end or home on Windows?? I do have the 13.3 air. I know the
commands are a bit different since it does not have a full keyboard.
