Hmm, not sure what you mean. It's not something that might or might
not be true, it's just mechanics and programming.

I remember an old hack in Beebug that would make a BBC micro make a
big old floppy drive play a few "notes" in a similar fashion.

Taking it further off-topic and to the next level, how about Bohemian
