Got hold of a raspberry pi 3 B+ today, and, couple of questions.
Firstly, tried out one of the previously used raspian jessie images on
it, with speech working, etc., but, there seems to be no boot-up, or no
audio output via the 3.5mm audio socket on the side?
Is this likely to be due to incompatibility with the previously used
SCCard that has worked on my pi 2 B+ before, or is this possibly due to
the pi 3 apparently offering RCA audio in, and, does that then require
some form of adapter to offer only audio out through the 3.5mm socket?
Or am I totally confused about that side of it?
As in, does it really offer audio in as well, and, if so, how do you
work with/access it?
Lastly, for now, how likely is it that a prior version of ubuntu mate,
that has already been up and running on a pi v.2 B+ unit, but, with an
external USB audio adapter might work as is on this unit, or would it
again be necessary to, at the least, run through the initial
configuration wizard on this unit to make sure hardware works as
intended, or else, is there likely to be a new version of something like
ubuntu mate for the pi 3 that I need to get hold of, and then work with?
TIA
