Our group of nine tallied 40 species (+1 other taxa) this morning. Highlights
included nice views of a Scarlet Tanager, cuckoo and four warbler species.
Overhead we were treated to a nice variety of raptors. As a nice I came
across a flock of nine turkeys while driving on Georgetown pike to the park.
All are welcome to join this weekly Sunday walk that meets at 8:00 am in the
visitors center parking lot. -- Marshall Rawson, McLean VA
