The headlines from today's Huntley Meadows Monday Morning Birdwalk include a
Veery, both Hermit and Wood Thrushes, Magnolia Warbler, 2 Ovenbirds, and a
Scarlet Tanager. There were 13 birders who spotted a total of 52 species.
There were families of Mallard, Wood Duck, and Hooded Mergansers that raised
the cute coefficient as they do every spring. All birders expressed concern
that we aren't seeing the warbler migration that we expected, and would be
interested in opinions as to why this is.
