I agree it is an immature male Common Yellowthroat. The suggestion of the
black mask to come in the spring is the clincher for me.

After looking at Petersonâs Warbler guide, Iâm with you that itâs a
yellowthroat. But Iâm thinking maybe immature male given the dark gray on
the cheek. (cleaned off the camera lens this morning so i.d. will be a tad
easier next time! ) The guide does such a good job of describing this
wren-like behavior, which is pretty distinctive. And the tail is longer than
the Kentucky. Not enough black or yellow on the face for Kentucky.
