I agree it is an immature male Common Yellowthroat. The suggestion of the
black mask to come in the spring is the clincher for me.

After looking at Petersonââ¬â¢s Warbler guide, Iââ¬â¢m with you that
itââ¬â¢s a yellowthroat. But Iââ¬â¢m thinking maybe immature male given
the dark gray on the cheek. (cleaned off the camera lens this morning so i.d.
will be a tad easier next time! ) The guide does such a good job of describing
this wren-like behavior, which is pretty distinctive. And the tail is longer
than the Kentucky. Not enough black or yellow on the face for Kentucky.
