[va-bird] Re: Is this a Kentucky Warbler??

After looking at Peterson’s Warbler guide, I’m with you that it’s a
yellowthroat.  But I’m thinking maybe immature male given the dark gray on
the cheek.  (cleaned off the camera lens this morning so i.d. will be a tad
easier next time! )  The guide does such a good job of describing this
wren-like behavior, which is pretty distinctive.  And the tail is longer than
the Kentucky.  Not enough black or yellow on the face for Kentucky.

Thanks you all!

Carol,

I 2nd Tom's opinion of a female Common Yellow-throat.  Regardless, cool set up!
I'd definitely keep an eye on those cameras.

Jim
