I've been a Bookshare member since May of 2005. Between then and now I've lost
good friends and relatives, one of whom was a staunch Booksharian. Valerie, my
condolences are with you. Even though I haven't met either one of you in
person, I'm sure Doug was a great man, husband, and help mete. God bless you.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] A sad note
Last night at about 9 PM, my beloved husband, Doug, passed away. It happened
without notice; he was not sick and I was out grocery shopping. I am bereft. I
cannot imagine my life without him, but I am grateful for 24 years of marriage
and almost two more before that. Doug was an amazing man and a great blessing
as a Bookshare work partner. Please forgive me if I do not reply as there are
many people to notify and arrangements to make.
Please keep me in your prayers as I enter this new chapter of my life, alone.
It's been over 35 years since I lived alone. Even our two sweet dogs can tell
everything is different.
