I just read a Miss Zukas book that Mary submitted; she had a page number, a line of asterisks and then the chapter heading; nothing was erased. In this case I would say that the asterisks weren't really necessary; however, they did help accentuate the factor that there was a new chapter. ----- Original Message ----- From: siss52 To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, October 17, 2008 11:16 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Question About Protecting Chapters Hi Susan, No, it won't. I put about 4 stars on the first line, then blank line, then chapter name. It will eat the asterisks. <smile> Sue S. ----- Original Message ----- From: Susan To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, October 18, 2008 12:58 AM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Question About Protecting Chapters As Lissi Says, Hi Booksharians, When the chapter name such as "Chapter One" is the first thing at the top of the page and the page number is at the bottom of a page, (and I do not wish to move the page number), will putting one blank line on both sides of the chapter name protect it?
