Hey Chris, on that first cut, were the drums real? How did you get that New
Orlands style?
I need a drum track like that for another project, and I'm not a drummer.

Hey Chris,
     Thanks for sharing these.

I really dig both mixes. I especially liked what you did with the
mandolin at the end of the folk track. It had a nice effect in my opinion.
It was strange hearing a hip hop track like that sounding so crisp and
clean. Whenever I encounter a song like that, its always so dirty sounding
mix wise, and its always blasting out of a car with the subs cranked so loud
that I'm afraid the car's going to fall apart. Obviously, these comments
are coming from someone who is just starting to figure things out, but I
would say that possibly the claps could use some of that reverb that was
present on those big tom hits. It seemed like that might help fill in some
of that space, as the drum tracks are pretty minimalistic. Just a thought:)

Thanks again, I always enjoy checking out the mixes.

even halves of phrases, by hand. That is, they aren't using automatic mode,
but specifying how much they want things corrected, and how much of the
original vibrato to retain. Can we get as specific as that with any of the
plug-ins? The speed people can do this with the mouse is scary, not to
mention moving bits of phrases or drum beats around in time.
