Hi Nickus: Try concealing the recording light from his view if possible while he is rehearsing with the track. This way, you can make multiple tracks of him singing without his knowledge, plus he won't feel so up tight. Now you have a variety of vocal tracks to choose from or cut, copy and paste the best parts from the sum of all to make the best one. It's a trick that you can try. Hi all, i must record a vocalist who is awesome in live performinces but he can't crack it in studio he just cracks up and i can't get anything good out of him. Any advice anything i can do to make the studio environment more comfortible for him or any other tips or tricks?
