Yeah I no what you mean. I have the same problem. That's the main reason why 
when I'm tracking acoustic guitar I go direct rather than miking it. I would 
prefer to mike the guitar, but I don't like how it sounds when I do.

Hey, the one advantage is that there is almost not enough space to get bad 
acoustics in the room. Only thing I'd like a bigger room for is to get 
microphones further away from the computer. Since I do almost all of the 
laying of tracks, its helpful to be close to the gear. The wireless keyboard 
helps but not enough to really get far enough away that it makes a 
difference. The curse of having sensitive mics. /dave
