In which case, turn the limiter off.  That will give you a clearer idea of how 
hard your driving the metres on a bus.  Alternatively, look at alternative 
scripts which give you access to Sonar's VU metres.  That way you may get an 
idea of how hard your driving the metres E.G, the RMS level that your hitting 
the bus at.  Finally, if the compressor that your using has metering fully 
implemented, read off the various metres such as the gain reduction metre in 
the compressor.  The Sonitus compressor has full metering implemented.

  CT reports bus output meter, but is there way to read bus input meter to see 
how hard I'm driving the bus? If there's a limiter on a bus, I won't know if 
I'm clipping the bus or not since the output meter will be always below 0.
