Hi Bob, do you have the HSC sets for the safire card?
You wouldn’t be able to do any of the short cut keys with out them.

Hi Michael. Thank you for your suffestions. For some reason, the context menu
for selecting a daw doesn't open when I select an output with control/shift/u.
Please contact me off-list for a Jaws Tandem session with Skype or a phone
call. Thanks,
Bob.

Hey Bob I figured out what you need to do.

First of all you need to select you routing preset.
Say for instance the 0 mixing preset by pressing control shift r, and arrow
down to the preset of choice.
Next you need to asign your outputs to your daw program.
To do this simply press control plus shift plus u to asign your output.
You will need to asign the last two outputs.
In the case of the safire 40 pro its going to be channels 21, 22.
When you get to channel 21 by using first letter navigation, or down
arrowing, , simply press enter to open the context menu, and select the daw sub
menu by down arrowing, and right arrow, and choose daw 1 in the sub menu.
Repeat the same for the last channel which again in the case of the 40 pro
would be 22.
Remember in the daw sub menu you will need to select the same daw which in
this example is daw 1.
This is a nice feature as you could alternativly use sound forge as your
second daw, and sonar as your first, and have both programs stream from
different sources, using the right speaker.
But of course this is a little far feched.
Just simply for argument sake use for channel 21, 22 daw 1.
Once you have selected your daw, remember to hit enter to check this software.
  Hope this helps.
Let me know if you have problems and I can arange a tandom session with you.

Hi. Would anyone who has loop back working on their Saffire be interested in
a quick Skype or phone call plus a Jaws Tandem session to show me what to do?
If someone helps me, perhaps I can then show Michael how to do it.
  Bob.

Hi Tim. Thank you for responding to this one. For those of you who have
read my other recent posts, I now have everything working as well as it can
with a Sonar audio round trip of 8MS at 128. Anything smaller crackles the
audio but the latency problems are gone!

Anyway, I have noticed that the Saffire Pro-14 only gives you the
option of microphone in the Windows 7 recording levels. I assume that
everything else should be set using Mix Control. Whenever I try the loop back
routing preset, I get silence.
    Bob.

Hi, take a look at the Loopback port – it’s described in the manual and
works well.

      Best wishes.

Hi every one hope all of you are on this fine morning.

I tried several attemps and presets to get m focusrite card to capture
audio from the internet, and I can’t seem to get it to work.

In the past I was able to select the mix input on the roland sound cards,
and capture audio from lets say youtube, etc.

How is this acheeved with the focusrite 40 pro?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
