It won’t work with the Windows computer because it is Mac formatted. You
would need a third party Windows app to read it on the PC.
I think you can probably try making yourself root and seeing if you can do
anything with the drive. Short of that, you would have to change the
formatting, which would end up erasing the drive entirely. There may be some
terminal methods to try to delete the files via command line, but I am not a
command line expert.
