Remember, the operating system under the pretty graphics is unix so all your
unix commands apply.
rm filename removes a file
rm -f file name removes a directory or forces a remove
rm -rf will remove recursively
to move files around you can also use MV or if you want to preserve everything
including permissions and user ownership then tar is your friend.
something like
tar -cf ./* | tar -xf /destination/dir
and so on
lots of good unix resources out there if you need a hand.
