just format it as fat 32 and you can use it in windows and mac. if it is too
large though, that won't be possible and then your choices are either ntfs
windows only or mac os journaled extended which may be readable in windows.

Hi all,
I used to be somewhat of a commandline expert but that was back in the days of
DOS. Anybody remember DOS? I did go to the drive and copied all the books back
to the Mac. That went quite smoothly. If I had to reformat the drive I really
wouldn't lose anything as long as the Mac kept running. It has the Time Machine
backups on it. If I did format the drive what would I do different lady to
prevent having these problems in the future?
