From what I gather, it's quite intentional. The organizer of CRX (Jim
Drew) likes to point out that holding the events simultaneously will
allow people to visit both expos but the reality is that CRX is being
held as an alternative to CommVEx for people who are fed up with the
organizer of CommVEx (Robert Bernardo). While neither of the
organizers are actually from Las Vegas, The Clark County Commodore
Computer Club (C5) has thrown in with CRX.
