Jim Drew's explanation was that multiple attendees, both vendors and
visitors, suggested that more space was in order and that it would be
better if there were no cost to attend the event and Robert Bernardo
wasn't receptive to the suggestions. Attempts to discuss the matter at
the CommVEx forum resulted in deleted posts and banned accounts etc.
How delightfully genteel. The thing is, I remember Jim Drew from the
80's and 90's and I wouldn't believe a word he said even if his tongue
was notarized.
The old (meaning younger) Golan version is that Robert Bernardo is a
pig-headed, sanctimonious dictator and Jim Drew is a bellicose, smarmy
con-man and Vegas ain't big enough for the two of them.
