there's drama at every show, like VCF-E, VCF-MW, and event WoC
It seems to me that VCFMW has a reputation for being relatively
drama-free... certainly compared to all this Las Vegas brouhaha.
Oh, I agree. WoC also seems relatively drama free, and VCF-SE could
also fit into that category. But, there's always some drama:
* The venue change at VCF-MW was a bit of drama (not self imposed, but
still)
* A few years back, there was some snafu about a female deciding not
to come because she felt threatened or something
* I forget his name, but there's this guy from Michigan that came a
few times, with tons of stuff to sell, the stuff was grimy, and the
guy has a rep of making deals and not following through, or
something like that. Lots of unhappy folks, as I recall.
* Back when it was ECCC, there were a few "cliques", or something to
that effect
* I think there were some complaints one year about the auction timing
or length, or something.
* The drama with not getting the side room in the Hotel at Heron Point
after having been promised it
* The time we all were in the commons area and the wedding party
(pre-gamed) came in and made a bunch of noise and the cops came and
yelled at all of us geeks to go to our rooms, and then the fire
alarm at 1:30AM, and the wedding guests later getting arrested (I
think you were there irc-ing that, if I remember correctly)
Still, nothing to this level.
