The weekly walk at Dyke Marsh yielded 49 species this morning. The most
notable sighting was a swamp sparrow singing from the marsh. The two tundra
swans that have been hanging around were off Hunting Towers. We saw young
orioles of both species. A juvenile Baltimore was being fed by an adult male,
and a recently fledged orchard (judging from the very short tail) was following
around the mother. The osprey nest in the marina at the boat lauch has 3
