Reinstall jaws. When uninstalling, uninstall jaws and all shared components, then reinstall it from scratch. This usually happens if some files relating to the video drivers are updated or altered, or randomly by JAWS for no apparent reason. I know I don't have to express my frustrations, but I'm at a loss here. Restoring to two weeks ago didn't work. I read some posts last night which offered some suggestions--one was to go to the JAWS menus to enter on the install the Video Intercept, but then I got an error message that says that it was unable to fix due to something about not locating a "chain" or something like that. I recall doing this last year as well with no results. If it's not a software issue for some reason, could it be a problem with the video card or the jack where the monitor plugs in? I've reset the unity gain and such on the FW 1884, but I'm sure it has nothing to do with the video. The monitor works fine because I hooked it up to another PC. Other than installing everything, which is a last resort, do you guys have any suggestions? I'm not a techee, but since I have no monitor, none of my sighted friends are of any help. I'm going to keep looking on line for other solutions. Thanks for listening, SLB _____ The New Busy is not the too busy. Combine all your e-mail accounts with Hotmail.
