the horns sound so real. Are they actual horns or are they midi

those are cunningly strung together loops of professional musicians.
I can only speak from experience playing jazz against Band-in-a-Box
as a practice tool. Personally, it's nice knowing that the
realdrums jazz styles were recorded by one of the best jazz
drummers in the world, Terry Clarke. If you want to develop good
swing feel, listen to Terry. It's certainly better than the
robotic rigid sort of swing you would develop with older versions
of the program, if you wern't careful.
