Hi. I think it all comes back to what a recording artist does with the tool. For example, you could use the real tracks to generate a full production, which is probably a good idea for structuring your song. Or, you could record your track as normal, then add a real tracks bassline or sax riff just to give that extra something. A lot will depend on the imagination of the user. Better producers and musicians will find the most inventive ways of putting it to use. I think its great that technology is bringing this sort of stuff along, but can't help but think that music is about interaction. I think a big part of the equation gets thrown out when its all prerecorded, even by great musicians. I feel like performing can be so much rewarding when you are actually interacting with others. But, hey, whatever works for ya... With that said, I think these sort of things do look like great shedding tools. Personally, it's nice knowing that the realdrums jazz styles were recorded by one of the best jazz drummers in the world, Terry Clarke. If you want to develop good swing feel, listen to Terry. It's certainly better than the robotic rigid sort of swing you would develop with older versions of the program, if you wern't careful. >> >> Chris >> >> PLEASE READ THIS FOOTER AT LEAST ONCE! >> To leave the list, click on the immediately following link: >> ddots-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe >> If this link doesn't work then send a message to: >> ddots-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx >> and in the Subject line type >> unsubscribe >> For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the immediately following link: >> ddots-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq or send a message, to >> ddots-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx and in the Subject line type faq > > > PLEASE READ THIS FOOTER AT LEAST ONCE! > To leave the list, click on the immediately following link: > ddots-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe > If this link doesn't work then send a message to: > ddots-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > and in the Subject line type > unsubscribe > For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the immediately following link: > ddots-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq or send a message, to > ddots-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx and in the Subject line type faq > > PLEASE READ THIS FOOTER AT LEAST ONCE!
