Hi Brandon,

It's not anything you said, it's just sometimes a topic branches out.

I like all kinds of music, some of the new Rap Guys are brilliant and there are producers using vocal enhancement technology in very impressive ways.

There'll always be debate, that's a good thing. Years ago When Tape recording was first being used in radio, Bing Crosby started recording some of his radio shows rather than perform them live. People were unsure about listening to Bing being transmitted over the airwaves on tape. The problem they had was it didn't scratch and crackle like their records did. This was new and people took time to get used to something sounding so clear as if it was live.

It's amazing how quickly we get used to change.

But it is pop, so enough people like it to make it the norm. And right now that affect is what marks electronic music on the radios... It was just what I thought would make the song more of a pop sounding recording.
Thanks,

its just overdone pitch correction. Plugins like antaris (not sure if thats how you spel it) autotune are good for it. Personally, i think that idia has been done to death.

Oh I agree it's been overdone! Just as we probably all recognize pop from the 1980's by the gated reverb, electronic drums, keyboards etc. I bet this will be the recognizable sound of the past decade. *sigh*
