Omar:
Do you have a lot of other plugs inserted into your projects? If you have any
of the channel strip plugs inerted like the vc64 or percussion strips or the
transient shaper inserted, they will cause latency on other tracks while
recording. If you are using sonar 8.5 with the latest CT scripts, pressing
control D will activate latency compensation on the current track you are
recording which will eliminate the latency. You must turn it off though when
playing back or your newly recorded track will not be in sync with the rest of
your project.

  Subject: [ddots-l] latency problem

  Hello,

I'm using sonar 8.5. I'm getting latency with all my softsynths for some
reason. I have all the settings, (buffer sizes,) both in the acio pannel and in
the sonar advanced audio menu set low. In the acio pannel i ahve the sample
buffer size set to 64, and in sonar audio advanced menu i have the buffer play
and record set at 128. Can anyone think of anything else that might be causing
latency?

  Thank you.
