The play and record buffer settings don't need to match anything else. Just
commenting that they are a bit low.

Phil, are you refering to the sample bit rate in the sonar menu, or in the
RME Acio Pannel? Should the play and record buffer sizes match the sample
bit rate? Example, if I set the playback and record buffer size set at 256
in sonar, should i have the sample bit set at 256 in the acio pannel as
well?

Thanks.

Hmm, always found 128 to be a wee bit low. Try 256 instead.

Hello,

I'm using sonar 8.5. I'm getting latency with all my softsynths for some
reason. I have all the settings, (buffer sizes,) both in the acio pannel and
in the sonar advanced audio menu set low. In the acio pannel i ahve the
sample buffer size set to 64, and in sonar audio advanced menu i have the
buffer play and record set at 128. Can anyone think of anything else that
might be causing latency?

Thank you.
