OK, and the ovious question, you are using asio right? And is your timing master set to the first output of your audio interface? What audio interface are you using anyway?

Hello:
The playback i/o buffer setting controls how much data is chached when reading from your hard drive. When working with large projects with a lot of audio tracks, you might need to raise this so that your hard drive can keep up. The disadvantage to a higher setting is that response will be a bit slower when pressing play since the larger buffers will need to load up before streaming starts. This setting has no effect on input latency.
