Or, you can pool out parameters from within the Syntherack view by pressing the
applications key when focused over where it says "show Assignable Controls.
Think this new feature was brought in in Sonar 6.

Sometimes it is better to use the insert menu but I like to put it in the
affects bin sometimes because I can look at the parameters of the soft synth in
the inspector. The only way we can get at the parameters of Psyn2 and the
Pentagon is if we put them in the affects bin.

Perhaps it's better to insert the softsynths the other way, (using alt I for
insert?) What do you think?

    Agreed - it's a pain.

But this would seem to complicate things if you want to experiment with how
different fx would sound on a softsynth audio track.

Or delete the effects from the FX Bin and re-insert them in the
    required
order. This is an issue we've flagged with Cakewalk, as it's a real
    pain
for keyboard users (mousers can drag and drop FX to re-order them).

    Best wishes.

So you mean I should have inserted the effect plugin first? So now
    I'd have
    to redo that track?

To have a soft synth route through a plug-in on an audio track, you
need to instantiate the plug-in first, then the soft synth. The way
    that the
effects bin works is that the effects get stacked on top of each
    other, so
if you wanted things routed a certain way, you need to instantiate
    them in
the reverse order. Hope this helps.
