Terri,

Now that I understand what you did, I know how you were able to emboss .DBT files. You were doing it through the Duxbury program, which processes the files and gives the embosser exactly what it needs. When I think of "direct embossing," I mean using a command like this:
copy myfile.dxb lpt1
If you had tried that, you would have gotten quite a nasty surprise.
