I can solve these issues straight off for you here.

First of all, if you’re running Disk Maker X3, apple have discontinued the
supply of OS X mountain lion so it is not downloadable any more. even though
you have paid for the product, it is no longer available to download through
any area of apple.

the error discussed means you’re attempting to build a mountain lion recovery
disk and it cannot find the “install OS X Mountain Lion.app file.

If you’re upgrading to mavericks, the use of disk maker X is essential.

I will examine beta 3.1 and be in contact on list soon with results of error
reports and resolutions.

having just read your latest post,

you need to do the following:

1: download Mavericks from the app store. it saves to the applications folder.
2: move DiskMaker X to the applications folder.
3: create an external pen drive or external HDD using the OS X extended
(Journaled) partition scheme.
4: run DiskMaker X.
5: Message 1: There is a new OS Version available. Do you want to download
Mavericks? Select "Not now.” ENTER
6: Message 2: Select the operating system you wish to write to your drive:
Select OS X Mavericks 10.9. Enter
7: Message 3: Select the storage media you are going to use: 8GB or higher pen
drive - or external HDD. Depending on your selected disk that’s up to you. if
it’s a pen drive, select pen drive.
8: Message 4: (may differ if using external HDD) Select the partition or pen
drive you wish to use. this is a dialogue with volumes. Select the partition
you want to write to.
9: Message 5: You will be asked to enter your admin password, after this, the
process will begin. Hit enter
now enter your admin password when asked.

These instructions are exactly as performed. this will create a successful
toolkit drive.

when the application finishes, you’ll hear a sound played and a message saying
“Congratulations” you can now quit the application.

after all is done and you’ve backed up your files, etc. reboot and press the
option key for several seconds when the chime plays.
