Hi all, I've used DiskmakerX 3.0.1 stable two days ago to create a bootable usb stick and it worked fine. Its true, that the progress window is not displayed all the time, but thats no problem. When the creation process has finished a sound is played and a message says that everything worked fine. The latest stable version 3.0.1 can be downloaded here: http://www.diskmakerx.com Cheers, Christian On Di, Okt 29, 2013 at 09:30:25 +0000, Edward Lewis Redfern wrote: >I can solve these issues straight off for you here. > >First of all, if you’re running Disk Maker X3, apple have discontinued the >supply of OS X mountain lion so it is not downloadable any more. even though >you have paid for the product, it is no longer available to download through >any area of apple. > >the error discussed means you’re attempting to build a mountain lion recovery >disk and it cannot find the “install OS X Mountain Lion.app file. > >If you’re upgrading to mavericks, the use of disk maker X is essential. > >I will examine beta 3.1 and be in contact on list soon with results of error >reports and resolutions. > >having just read your latest post, > >you need to do the following: > >1: download Mavericks from the app store. it saves to the applications folder. >2: move DiskMaker X to the applications folder. >3: create an external pen drive or external HDD using the OS X extended >(Journaled) partition scheme. >4: run DiskMaker X. >5: Message 1: There is a new OS Version available.
